This Nationally Accredited, on-demand, course is designed for persons who may be required to assist in emergency response and rescue procedures in
the workplace. 

The course is tailored to your needs and may cover 1-3 days, including a broad range of potential emergency situations including how to correctly assess & control hazards and implement safe work procedures in a rescue situation assessed against a variety of pre-existing core competencies including Confined Spaces, Working At Height, Contaminated Atmospheres.

Successful attendees will be assessed as competent to assess the rescue scene, work in a team to safely extricate casualties and identify equipment maintenance requirements.

Depending on the required scenarios, participants are expected to already hold and be current in core subjects.

Assessment Requirements

This course is assessed by a series of written and practical components, including inspection, fault finding and troubleshooting of equipment, risk assessment, preparation of and safe execution of rescue responses as a team.

LLN Requirements

This course has been mapped between level 2 and 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework. It is recommended that participants provide evidence of their Foundation Skill Level prior to the commencement of the course.

Physical Requirements

This course features considerable physical activity and may require hanging in a safety harness and entry to dark spaces which some learners may find claustrophobic.
