Description

This training unit involves the skills and knowledge required to handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances in accordance with relevant Work Health Safety regulations concerning the safe handling of dangerous goods and hazardous substances, within the transport and logistics industry.

It includes identifying requirements for working with dangerous goods and/or hazardous substances, confirming site incident procedures and selecting handling techniques.

Classroom based theory assessment and practical activities.

 

LLN Requirements

This course has been mapped between level 2 and 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework. It is recommended that participants provide evidence of their Foundation Skill Level prior to the commencement of the course.

Physical Requirements

Practical components which involve walking around and moving objects up to 9kg in weight.

Prerequisites

All participants MUST provide Photo ID on the day of training.
